Job Summary

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Innovation and Corporate Strategy team as an intern. This is a full-time position that will provide the opportunity to work on various projects and tasks, supporting the daily activities of the Director of Industrial Engineering, Production Systems, and Strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of IE/PS/S in calendar organization and prioritize emails.
  • Draft, review, and send communications on behalf of the Director.
  • Improve and expand Strategy standards and processes.
  • Create and improve processes and procedures for data entry and acquisition, particularly in the Ideas Program.
  • Identify areas of potential improvements in IE/PS/S.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics.
  • Maintain various records and documents for the Director.
Requirements
  • 3+ years completed towards Engineering, Business, Finance, or other relevant degree.
  • Previous experience in an office is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent MS Office Skills—Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Good analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking.
  • Experience creating access databases.
  • Experience writing macros.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Fluent English—Spanish or German a plus.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Interpersonal skills.
Compensation
  • Junior: $18/hour
  • Senior: $20/hour
  • Bachelor's degree/recent graduate: $24.00
  • Master's degree/enrolled or recent graduate: $27.00
  • Ph.D. / enrolled or recent graduate: $29.00
