Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Equipment Manager to join our team at Colas Inc. This individual will play a critical role in optimizing the value and controlling the costs of our company's plants and equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on the purchase and maintenance of assets to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the maintenance teams within the company to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with managers to establish long-term needs for investment in plants and equipment.
  • Evaluate whether to replace, repair, rent, or divest equipment to maximize asset utilization.
  • Oversee the completion of renovation projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and promote innovative solutions to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Optimize energy usage throughout the company to minimize environmental impact.
  • Lead all aspects of equipment and accounting recordkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Promote training and communication throughout the company to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Conduct due diligence on assets involved in new acquisitions to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of prior experience in manufacturing and construction equipment, preferably in asphalt, aggregate, terminal plants, and road construction operations.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and convert them into actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
