Role Overview: The Activity Director is tasked with overseeing all programming, organizing, scheduling, budgeting, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions within the Community to enhance residents' independence and quality of life, aligning with the company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster an engaging, creative, and fulfilling social environment throughout the Community, encouraging resident involvement through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie screenings, exercise sessions, club formation, games, artistic opportunities, educational classes, and other similar activities.
  • Actively participate in residents' activities by personally leading initiatives and motivating resident involvement in all activities, excursions, and special events.
  • Recruit, develop, manage, and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Community Volunteers.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Promote teamwork through collaborative interactions with colleagues and other departments.
  • Possess the ability to operate Community vehicles.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Class C license required; Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in organizing planned activities and assessing residents' needs.
  • Preferred one (1) year of experience in supervising and managing staff and volunteers.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including availability for holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed to ensure adequate departmental coverage.
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer and skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
  • For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to be vaccinated, participate in daily screenings, undergo surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
