About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Operations to join our team at Remix Logistics. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and order fulfillment.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
- Train, motivate, and supervise warehouse staff, including setting performance objectives, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, procurement, and customer service to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and improve workflow.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and generate reports.
- Lead company's technology integrations including configuring and managing connections and providers of APIs, EDI, and related systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, including coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing freight costs.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement corrective actions to address operational inefficiencies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover, and take proactive measures to meet or exceed targets.
- Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including productivity metrics, inventory levels, and operational costs, and present findings to senior management.
- 5+ years of warehousing or related experience.
- 5+ years of using warehouse management software.
- Managed teams of 25+ employees.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to move/lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
