Job Summary

The Director of Wellbeing Education and Services provides leadership and oversight for daily management of wellness education programs, facilities, and services. This includes supervising professional staff, student employees, and contracted services, with general direction from the Executive Director of Recreation and Wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to wellness education and services staff, including professional staff, student staff, and contracted services.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
  • Develop and maintain an outcomes-based wellness promotion model that emphasizes student learning outcomes.
  • Serve as the department's lead for wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead operations of all wellness facilities, including planning for future growth and development.
  • Oversee the budget for wellness facilities.
  • Administer wellness-based equipment, including purchasing, maintenance, repair, and software tools.
  • Lead assessment and statistical data pertaining to wellness education and services.
  • Develop wellbeing-based public education campaigns in conjunction with the Communications Coordinator for Campus Life and Wellbeing.
  • Serve as a departmental liaison to various departments, including the Center for Counseling and Psychological Health, Center for Women and Community, The Stonewall Center, School of Public Health, and University Health Services.
  • Serve as a member of the department Leadership Team.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform related duties as assigned or required.
  • Understand responsibilities with respect to Title IX, Clery, and other compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate capacity, skill, and willingness to engage students and contribute to student success.
  • Understand responsibilities with respect to conflicts of interest and behave in ways consistent with law and University policy.
  • Contribute toward creating a positive and respectful workplace.
