Job Title: Security Lead

At Vail Resorts, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Lead to join our team. As a Security Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and leading the Mountain Security Department, providing a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of security officers to ensure the performance of their duties
  • Monitor and supervise shrinkage throughout the resort, reporting safety hazards, unacceptable behavior, or suspicious persons to the Security Supervisor
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest and employee situations, events, and requests
  • Perform patrols during assigned shifts to ensure designated facilities are completely checked on a regular basis
  • Be knowledgeable of other departments to assist in maintaining and upkeeping facilities and equipment related to security and safety issues
  • Prepare necessary maintenance requests for safety-related maintenance requirements
  • Be responsive to emergency situations and ensure required notifications are completed
  • Prepare coherent, legible, and complete professional reports under existing guidelines
  • Work with local public safety agencies to resolve various situations and concerns
  • Be familiar with Communications Center operations
  • Be available upon reasonable notice to patrol any shift
  • Provide asset protection and escorts
  • Follow department, mountain, and Corporate Policy and Procedures
  • Must be able to work as a team
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2 years of security, law enforcement, military, or emergency services experience
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  • High School or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and email
  • English - read, write, and speak
  • Able to lift and carry 100lbs
  • Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Able to obtain a Proprietary Private Security Officer or Guard Card
  • Ability to work in all indoor and outdoor conditions, including severe weather
