Job Title: Licensed Clinician

Urban Peak Denver is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide evidence-based mental health services to youth ages 15-24 who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Clinician will be responsible for coordinating individual treatment sessions, creating and updating treatment plans, and assessing and coordinating care for youth on their caseload. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the ability to work effectively with high-risk youth and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinically focused and evidence-based programming to support positive mental health outcomes
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating treatment plans for youth on caseload
  • Assess youth's needs using evidence-based assessments
  • Assist with Medicaid billing for clinical services
  • Facilitate and lead case coordination assessments and meetings between clinical team and client's care team
  • Provide crisis intervention and presence in milieus as necessary to support relationships with youth
  • Work closely with other staff and agency programs to coordinate activities, providing clear and effective communication with other staff regarding clients
  • Provide support to other programs in emergency situations
  • Provide clinical individual sessions in a low-barrier setting with harm reduction principles
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with youth
  • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Experience in facilitating and creating clinical groups and life skills classes with high-risk youth and/or special populations
  • Experience in providing trauma-informed care or willingness to adapt this approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
  • Ability to make independent judgments and sound decisions using available information while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
  • Ability to function in an environment that includes conflict and chaos
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
