Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) / Mental Health Technician to join our Nurse Resources Team. As a floating team member, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in various departments at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, including basic nursing skills and promoting communication of patients' status and needs.
  • Be accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse for the care provided to assigned patients and ensure it conforms to Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, and physician orders.
  • Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the nursing department and CVMC/Woodridge.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program.
  • Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of Licensed Nursing Assistant experience, required for the Resource Pool.
  • Minimum of one year experience in an acute care facility preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
  • Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) and Pro-Act certifications within 6 months of hire.
