Job Summary

The State of Vermont's Department of Mental Health is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a therapeutic environment in an assigned patient care area. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients with serious mental illness
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide training and education to other staff members as needed

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in a human services setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
