Our extensive reach encompasses over 600 diverse programs, all aimed at elevating health and quality of life through the comprehensive integration of our services.

Position Summary

The National Enrichment Group is in search of several dependable, self-driven, and enthusiastic Sewing Educators. The ideal candidate will ensure that classes are enjoyable and interactive while conducting in-person sewing sessions tailored to the specific needs and interests of the participants. Experience working with seniors (60+) is essential, along with a strong commitment to community service and the ability to inspire and educate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting sewing classes for seniors (60+)
  • Developing curriculum and lesson plans for each session
  • Facilitating classes that promote social interaction
  • Managing a classroom of 15-20 participants
  • Preparing for classes by arriving early to set up
  • Ensuring the workspace is left clean and organized
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with participants and staff
  • Following up with the Director of Operations after classes
  • Creating a positive, healthy, and welcoming environment

COVID vaccination is required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in sewing and teaching sewing techniques
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
  • Highly responsible, reliable, punctual, and flexible
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a classroom
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Relevant experience in performance is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with seniors
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Teaching experience and classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of sewing techniques and a willingness to teach

Work Schedule:

  • Freelance/Independent contractor position
