We are a group mental health practice based in the United States, working closely with skilled nursing facilities to provide psychological services to residents.
Job SummaryWe are seeking licensed Doctorate-level psychologists and licensed clinical social workers to join our team as Geriatric Mental Health Professionals.
As a Geriatric Mental Health Professional, you will work with residents of nursing homes, providing psychological services to address their personal psychosocial issues and promote personal growth and a sense of purpose.
Responsibilities- Provide psychological services to residents of nursing homes, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Document resident interactions, treatment plans, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must be a Doctorate-level psychologist with an active state license to practice as a psychologist or a licensed clinical social worker with an active state license.
- Must be willing and able to perform job responsibilities while adhering to GeroPsych's Code of Ethical Conduct and following all state and federal guidelines.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with the geriatric population.
