Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and support the practice mission and strategic vision within the Mental Health Department.
  • Handle confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity, and security policies.
  • Provide routine diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency care for patients.
  • Maintain a patient caseload and have specialized training in a clinical area.
  • Confer with patients, families, agencies, and pharmacies regarding patient care.
  • Provide patient medication management and education regarding prescription effects and side effects.
  • Implement treatment plans that utilize Alivation's Integrated Care offerings, including Primary Care, On-Site Pharmacy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Pharmacogenetic Testing, Telehealth, Research, Remote Patient Monitoring, and others.
  • May be asked to be a Primary Investigator or Sub-Investigator on Research Studies.
  • Meticulously document patient-related administrative and clinical documentation in electronic medical records systems.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and function under stressful or emergent situations.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to changing work demands in terms of priorities that necessitate personal initiative.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, active listening skills, verbal, and written communication skills, patience, and trustworthiness to effectively share knowledge with the Chief Medical Officer, Psychiatrist, Neuropsychologist, Family Practice Physician, medical staff, student residents, patients, families, visitors, and the broader healthcare community.
  • Demonstrate competence in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities that service to maintain, develop, or increase knowledge, skills, and professional performance.
  • Other clinical or administrative duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer to meet practice needs.
Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Degree from an Accredited Program Required.
  • Successful Completion of a Clinical Practice Internship Required.
  • Completed Post-Doctoral Training Under Supervision Required.
  • Board Certified Preferred.
  • Active Nebraska License (State Registry in Good Standing) Required.
  • Familiar with EMR & PM Systems.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Platforms.
Experience
  • Three Years Previous Experience Out-Patient Psychology.
  • Experience Across the Entire Spectrum of Age Groups, Including Pediatrics and Geriatrics a Plus.
  • Knowledge of Human Behavior and Performance.
  • Ability to Assess Individual Differences in Ability, Personality, Interests, Learning, and Motivation.
  • Develop Effective Treatment for Behavioral and Affective Disorders.
  • Research Emotional Patterns.
