The Psychological Assistant collaborates with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to conduct patient assessments, counseling, group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and discharge planning/referral. This role requires a strong understanding of psychological principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, score, and develop interpretations of psychological tests under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Psychologist.
- Conduct patient assessments, counseling, group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and discharge planning/referral.
- Collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Masters degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or educational psychology.
- Current Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) license and registration as a Psychological Assistant.
- Minimum of two years experience working with mental health populations in conducting supervised psychological evaluations and therapy.
