As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-discipline team to introduce and implement equipment required for new model introduction into Honda facilities.

About the Role

This role involves leveraging 3D CAD software and simulation tools to identify key change points and summarize them into a specification that fixes design requirements. You will need to collaborate with the design team and plant members in order to achieve required quality, cost, and safety criteria.

Your Responsibilities

  • Review New Model Car part data for application into existing equipment and process or for new machine /process development
  • Create machine or tooling concept using 3D CAD software and 3D robotic simulation software
  • Develop Specification documentation to summarize changepoints, establish criteria and process/part flow
  • Lead meetings with customers both upstream and downstream to gain consensus
  • Manage critical path schedule to maintain overall project milestones
  • Conduct On-Site investigations of Mfg Lines and facilities
  • Provide on-site support to install/modify equipment to validate criteria is achieved and stable production can be achieved

About You

We are looking for individuals with a strong background in mechanical or industrial engineering, and experience in automated equipment development. Your excellent technical communication skills (both written and oral) will be essential in this role.

You will need to be able to work effectively in an office environment, creating specification documentation, as well as being comfortable working on the manufacturing floor, conducting direct line side investigation and system-up support.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • 2-term Co-op or internship in the field of Degree
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD systems and software
  • Background in automated equipment development
