The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team at Mizu Charlotte. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Kitchen Team: Oversee and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Food and Service Quality: Maintain and improve food and service quality, ensuring consistency across all menu items.
- Service Standards: Assess, implement, and manage service standards, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Create and implement strategic business objectives, mitigating risk and maximizing profit across various areas, including recruitment, finance, and restaurant operations.
- Forecasting: Forecast financial trends to control labor, food, and beverage costs.
- Collaboration: Partner with the General Manager to ensure a positive and collaborative environment.
- Health, Safety, and Cleanliness: Lead by example and set the tone for health, safety, and cleanliness throughout the property.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years of successful restaurant management experience in high-volume, scratch kitchen, and upscale food-focused environments.
- Passion for Internal Hospitality: Embrace our core values and demonstrate a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong problem-resolution skills and the ability to navigate important conversations.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
