Your Role and Responsibilities

In this position, you will have the chance to perform service tasks according to established protocols while adhering to ABB's quality and safety standards. Each day, you will provide exceptional customer service by planning and executing service tasks in alignment with customer expectations. You will demonstrate your expertise by ensuring customer loyalty through effective communication regarding service timelines and expectations. This role operates in a remote work model. You will primarily be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with clients on-site to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing their operations and resolving challenges.
  • Conducting field service activities, diagnosing technical issues, and performing assessments through remote or on-site efforts in the service categories and products for which you are certified.
  • Compiling lists of materials required for service tasks and ensuring the availability and quality of all necessary materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Providing training as needed for field service associates and clients.
Team Dynamics
You will become part of a vibrant team, where you can flourish.

Qualifications for the Role
  • Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent military technical training with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a unique combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB Symphony Plus Distributed Control System is advantageous. Note: Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided to build confidence in delivering exceptional field service support.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple customer responsibilities. Willingness to travel overnight up to 80% is required.
  • Experience in process automation is preferred. Understanding of systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal.
  • Fluency in English is essential, along with a valid driver's license and work authorization to operate within ABB in the US.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
