Position Levels:

Level I: This level consistently meets all objectives and provides mentorship and supervision to entry-level staff.

Level II: This level consistently meets all objectives and offers mentorship and supervision to Level I staff.

Senior Level: This level possesses extensive experience and advanced knowledge of controls system programming, integration with other systems, and sophisticated HVAC strategies.

Key Responsibilities – Level I:

  • Provide insights to sales and operations regarding technical and business aspects of construction or direct owner projects, including estimating and resource needs.
  • Ensure accurate project booking and completion of necessary documentation for internal and external purposes.
  • Make project documents and estimates accessible to relevant personnel to enhance productivity.
  • Assess customer expectations against Climatec's capabilities and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Identify and resolve potential project challenges.
  • Forecast project costs and monitor them to adhere to budget constraints.
  • Participate in monthly revenue meetings and provide forecasts for revenue and manpower.
  • Obtain customer approval for project schedules and values.
  • Invoice projects promptly and engage in collections to minimize outstanding payments.
  • Coordinate material orders with the Material Coordinator to optimize cash flow and efficiency.
  • Review all project documents, including scope, plans, specifications, and design submittals.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors or internal teams to maximize installation value.
  • Identify change order opportunities and work with sales to document and pursue them.
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure accurate labor tracking and productivity.
  • Provide leadership and input for accurate estimation, design, installation, and training for building systems.
  • Engage with external entities such as consulting engineers and building owners for timely engineering.
  • Review engineered submittals for adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations.
  • Facilitate the transition from Construction Operations to Service Operations.
  • Manage and develop 1-2 team members.
  • Oversee a project portfolio valued at $1-$2 million.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities – Level II:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of DDC or specialized systems controlling buildings.
  • Provide extensive integration support for various building systems.
  • Manage a project portfolio valued at $3-$5 million.
  • Oversee and develop 2-4 team members.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Level:

  • Manage and develop 5-10 team members.
  • Oversee a project portfolio exceeding $10 million.
  • Lead complex Building Management Systems (BMS) projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the Building Management Systems (BMS) sector.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and knowledgeable about AC power circuitry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and project specifications.
  • Adept at reading construction documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Effective delegation and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electronics.
  • Relevant technical experience or training may be considered.
  • Familiarity with Procore or Fieldwire is advantageous.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a team of specialists and entry-level engineers.
  • Empathetic understanding of issues affecting team members and clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials.
  • Willingness to spend time on construction sites.
  • Capability to climb stairs or ladders as needed.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record for company vehicle operation.
  • Physical ability to kneel, stoop, and crawl.
