Job Summary:

The Shift Lead is a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our Client Services Coordinators and Vet Assistants, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability of the hospital.
  • Ensure effective communication with all clients and internal stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Day-to-day supervision of the team when called upon, ensuring quality medical care, exceptional client service, associate engagement, and maximum productivity.
  • Help create an environment where a team can deliver quality, efficient, and effective veterinary care to pets and foster an environment that engages associates, where associates do their best and feel good about being a member of the team.
  • Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional client service, ensuring all associates do the same, to include client education about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, hospital services, marketing campaigns, and other related information; effectively resolve client issues.
  • Assist in effectively scheduling associates to meet client needs, while proactively planning time off and CE scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience.
  • Ability to work weekend and evening shifts.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with loud noise and strong smells.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
