Job Summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to support the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software.

This position will provide support on-site in the National Capital Region, from ARA facilities, and via telecommuting when approved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software.
  • Conduct laboratory/field research, development, test and evaluation related to electromagnetic systems for electronic warfare or directed energy applications.
  • Use electronic & electrical support and test equipment.
  • Experience in mechanical shop machinery and safety practices and procedures.
  • Design and fabricate analog and digital circuits.
  • Conduct laboratory and field testing, and overall logistical support in movement of equipment and materials to and from field sites.
  • Evaluate interaction or electromagnetic signals and RF propagation analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related discipline, and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related discipline and three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related discipline.
