Bus Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bus Mechanic to join our team at Hertz. As a Bus Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of buses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines and transmissions.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Perform air brake and suspension service.
  • Provide preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of our buses.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 25 years of age.
  • 3-5 years of experience in bus repair.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • CDL with passenger and air-brake endorsements.
  • ASE certification preferred.
