Job Overview

Position: Home Health Aide

Salary: $17-20 per Hour

Role Summary: The Home Health Aide is responsible for delivering exceptional home health care services to clients, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. This role adheres to physician directives, agency protocols, and applicable regulations at both federal and state levels.

Reporting Structure: Reports to: Registered Nurse or Therapist and Staffing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
2. Foster meaningful interactions with clients through conversation, social engagement, and personal care support.
3. Respond promptly to client needs and requests for assistance, ensuring timely care provision.
4. Monitor clients for any changes in their physical, emotional, or mental state, reporting significant observations to a licensed nurse.
5. Complete necessary documentation including incident reports and behavior tracking accurately and on time.
6. Prepare and serve meals, assisting clients with eating as needed, excluding tube feeding.
7. Maintain cleanliness in client living spaces by making beds, disposing of garbage, and tidying rooms regularly.

Qualifications:
1. Valid Home Health Aide license in Washington DC.
2. CPR Certification.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
