Job Overview

Position: Home Health Aide

Salary: $17-20 per Hour

Role Summary: The Home Health Aide is responsible for delivering exceptional in-home care services to clients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. This role adheres to physician directives, as well as agency and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Reporting Structure: Reports to a Registered Nurse or Therapist and the Staffing Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
2. Foster meaningful interactions with clients through conversation and engagement while providing personal care.
3. Respond promptly to client needs and requests for assistance, ensuring a high level of care.
4. Monitor clients for any changes in their physical, emotional, or mental condition, and report observations to a licensed nurse.
5. Complete necessary documentation such as incident reports and behavior tracking in a timely manner.
6. Prepare and serve meals, assisting clients with eating as needed.
7. Maintain a clean and safe environment by tidying rooms and managing waste.

Qualifications:
1. Valid Home Health Aide license in Washington DC.
2. CPR Certification.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
