The HVAC Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the HVAC Supervisor in overseeing the seamless functionality of facility systems, aligning with the organization's objectives and operational goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the HVAC Supervisor in managing team members to ensure continuous facility coverage and achieve a target of 99% operational uptime for HVAC systems.
  • Guide HVAC technicians in maintaining performance standards for cleanroom environments and other facility areas.
  • Identify opportunities for management training to enhance leadership, planning, conflict resolution, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Assist in the implementation of comprehensive Preventive Maintenance programs for facility equipment within the CMMS framework.
  • Coordinate, assign, and oversee work orders and requests, ensuring timely data entry and completion by technicians.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair operations, providing support and guidance to technicians.
  • Facilitate training for existing and new staff members in CMMS and other trade-related systems and programs.
  • Assist in the development and execution of training programs for technicians on operational procedures and work order completion.
  • Establish and adjust work methods and procedures to meet project timelines, utilizing knowledge of personnel and equipment capabilities.
  • Provide technical support to mechanics and monitor work quality to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Engineering on new construction and renovation initiatives, offering insights on system design and equipment selection.
  • Interpret and enforce policies and safety regulations among team members, promoting adherence to required codes and standards.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the HVAC Operations Supervisor position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A technical trade degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant HVAC/mechanical experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a facility operations setting.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience with 1 year of supervisory experience in a facility operations environment.
  • Possession of EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate clearly in writing and respond to communications outside of regular work hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse population.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation.
