Job Overview

Kalman & Company, Inc. is in search of a dedicated and results-oriented professional with a robust background in data analytics and science to collaborate closely with our Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) clientele. This position necessitates US Citizenship due to the nature of our government contracts. Candidates must reside in Northern Virginia and be prepared for regular on-site engagements at both corporate and client venues in Stafford, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with stakeholders to ascertain their requirements and translate these into actionable reports and dashboards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing reporting efficiency through automation.
  • Design and oversee organization-wide business intelligence frameworks.
  • Leverage Power BI to deliver comprehensive solutions utilizing diverse data sources.
  • Create or refine existing reporting assets.
  • Develop data visualizations, including dashboards and analytical reports.
  • Document data profiling, quality assurance results, and analytical insights.
  • Utilize data for predictive modeling and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish data collection methodologies and frameworks.
  • Gather, audit, compile, and validate data from various sources.
  • Analyze data and generate ongoing reports to meet client and business needs.
  • Effectively communicate findings to government stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Power BI Analysis, Data Warehousing, or Data Analysis.
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to critically assess client needs and synthesize diverse datasets into insightful deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in collaborative environments.
  • Extensive experience with current computing technologies and software applications, including Business Intelligence tools, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Access, and SharePoint. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Reporting Services is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of systems analysis, business analysis, and business intelligence principles.
  • Ability to integrate emerging technologies for advanced analytics, including Power Flow, PowerApps, AI, and Machine Learning.
  • Expertise in Power BI desktop and cloud platforms, including administration support.
  • Skilled in development tools such as Power BI Desktop, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition, financial, and PPBE processes.
