Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through effective training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Oversee capital projects from the initial planning stages through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Evaluate industry-leading facilities and implement best-in-class processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
Develop control systems for machine tools, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital machinery for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machine tools to boost uptime, enhance quality, and elevate productivity.

Provide engineering expertise to production equipment and processes, including maintenance advisory.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to align with overall plant objectives.

Offer guidance on enhancing preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Authorize modifications to machine tool programs.

Educate associates on emerging technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in teams and lead team initiatives.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

The position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is also required.

Proficient skills in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are essential. Strong interpersonal skills are critical.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Provide assistance to other facilities with technical challenges.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
