Job Overview
Core Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, establish machine parameters, and devise strategies for minimizing waste and maximizing operational efficiency. Lead capital projects from initial strategic planning through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Analyze industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
Develop control systems for machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select and procure capital equipment for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machinery to boost uptime, enhance quality, and elevate productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including maintenance advisory.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to align with overall plant objectives.

Offer guidance on enhancing preventative maintenance protocols.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Educate staff on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team efforts and lead team initiatives.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

The position necessitates technical expertise in machine functionality, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Proficiency in mechanical design is essential.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Provide technical assistance to other facilities.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to independently manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience includes data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
