PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and define sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, establish machine parameters, and devise strategies for minimizing waste and maximizing operational efficiency. Oversee capital projects from the initial strategic planning stage through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Evaluate industry-leading facilities and adopt world-class methodologies, equipment, and workflows.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
Develop control systems for machine tools, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital machinery for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machine tools to boost uptime, enhance quality, and elevate productivity.

Provide engineering support for production machinery and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.

Initiate programs aimed at cost reduction to meet overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Authorize and validate modifications to machine tool programming.

Educate team members on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in teams and lead team-oriented activities.

Monitor and document cost-saving achievements.

PFMEAs:
Comprehend the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.

The role necessitates technical expertise in machine functionality, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Proficiency in mechanical design is essential.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentor and cultivate maintenance staff.

Provide technical assistance to other facilities as needed.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned project responsibilities.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
