PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through effective training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, establish machine parameters, and devise strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Oversee capital projects from initial planning through to procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Conduct benchmarking against industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
Develop control systems for machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select and procure capital equipment for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machinery to boost uptime, enhance quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering expertise to production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.

Initiate cost-saving programs that align with overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Educate team members on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team initiatives and lead team activities.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Comprehend the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

The position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Proficiency in mechanical design is essential.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Provide technical assistance to other facilities as needed.

Candidates must be capable of independently managing assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
