About the Role

The Assistant Spa Manager is a key member of our spa team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our spa facilities. This includes managing staff, coordinating spa services, and ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all spa areas, including front desk, fitness facilities, locker rooms, relaxation lounges, treatment rooms, and retail spaces.
  • Interview and select job applicants, supervise, discipline, and provide performance evaluations for spa employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Administer goods, requisitions, inventories, storage, and cost-effective usage of department-related products, adhering to standards and budget to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee the operation of equipment and cleanliness in all spa areas, coordinating special requirements with housekeeping, laundry, and engineering teams.
  • Effectively integrate the spa with hotel operations, aligning with spa trends and direction.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings to inform employees of hotel policies, changes, and ways to increase sales and service.
  • Create retail purchase orders in accordance with pars and budget, organizing and facilitating monthly and quarterly retail inventory.
  • Coordinate group bookings and conduct on-site tours of the spa with key meeting planners.
  • Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Assist various departments with internal standards testing.
  • Participate in external events representing the spa philosophy.
Requirements
  • Possess a passion for the health and wellness industry.
  • Exhibit reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Demonstrate superior communication skills.
  • Display a superior sense of organization and ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
  • Exhibit creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop individuals and teams.
  • Present a proactive personality.
  • Exhibit patience and persistence.
  • Previous hotel and spa software computer knowledge.
  • 2-4 years of club and spa supervisor/management experience.
  • College education or equivalent experience.
