Role Overview:

As an Audio Visual Project Coordinator at Penn Foster Inc, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, budget, quality, and client satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary duties will include:

  • Managing project communications and schedules.
  • Creating task lists for technical teams and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Overseeing project completion to exceed client expectations.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, managing their expectations and satisfaction.
  • Coordinating project activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Providing leadership and support to team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Monitoring project budgets, labor, and equipment usage.
  • Conducting field verification and documenting potential issues.
  • Facilitating design reviews and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Coordinating training and project turnover to clients and service departments.
Complexity of Role:

This position requires adept negotiation skills to manage diverse expectations and site conditions. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential for managing project variables and stakeholder relationships.

Decision-Making Authority:

You will take full ownership of projects, ensuring quality delivery and client satisfaction while managing financial performance and timely billing.

Physical Demands:

The role may involve exposure to construction environments, requiring adherence to safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You should be prepared for physical activity, including lifting materials and navigating job sites.

Travel Requirements:

This position may involve frequent travel, necessitating a valid driver's license.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
  • AVIXA CTS certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in project management within commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of audio/video systems and low voltage electrical projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
