The Cordish Companies is seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating audio visual equipment for events and functions, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and install audio visual equipment, including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, and recording equipment.
- Confer with event directors to establish cues and directions for events.
- Create and install custom lighting systems to enhance the event experience.
- Monitor sound feeds to ensure high-quality audio.
- Test and resolve equipment issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and correct media system problems to prevent technical issues.
- Coordinate audio feeds with television images to ensure a seamless experience.
- Mix sound inputs and feeds to ensure optimal audio quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on audio visual equipment to prevent technical issues.
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus advanced vocational training and two years of experience in audio visual and general building maintenance or construction.
- Professional certification and license may be required by State and/or municipality regulations.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Specialized knowledge and skills or certification within a field or discipline such as sound, televising, and lighting equipment mechanics, and general maintenance.
The Audio Visual Technician position requires the ability to perform the following:
- Carrying, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling items weighing up to pounds.
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
