Position Overview
As an Audio Visual Systems Project Manager, you will oversee the implementation of audio visual (AV) systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and institutional standards. Your role will involve managing complex, large-scale projects related to the design and management of AV technology solutions in new constructions or renovations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership: Supervise personnel and activities related to audio visual design on project sites.
  2. Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to thoroughly understand project requirements, including contractual, financial, technical, and scheduling aspects.
  3. Design Development: Create designs that meet client needs while adhering to budgetary constraints, including functional and connection-level drawings for various subsystems.
  4. Project Coordination: Facilitate internal project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders, including engineers and installation teams.
  5. Execution Management: Coordinate all activities related to AV project execution, including design engineering, installation, programming, and testing.
  6. Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  7. Budget Oversight: Monitor labor expenditures and communicate any budgetary concerns.
  8. Vendor Management: Work with approved vendors to solicit quotes that align with design specifications.
  9. Documentation: Generate and respond to construction communications, including requests for information and change orders.
  10. Quality Assurance: Regularly inspect installation work and certify the performance of installed systems before project turnover.

Qualifications

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: Six to eight years of relevant experience in project management and audio visual solutions.

Preferred Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), CTS-Design, CTS-Installation, or other relevant certifications are advantageous.

Skills: This role demands advanced knowledge in engineering design and project management, along with exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
