As a Director of Operations, Innovation and Special Projects, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of special projects that align with our company's goals and objectives.

You will work closely with our executive team and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth, drive innovation, and enhance operational efficiency. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the organization's special projects strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  • Plan and execute projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Identify project goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Additional Responsibilities

Participate in workgroups, charters, and committees to optimize organizational support resources, efficiency, and across-departmental processes, including comprehensive space planning and mission-driven quality improvement committees.

Lead and organize the Innovation Committee, intended to foster and drive a culture of innovation around programming, services, and partnerships to enhance care models.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for process optimization, innovation, and operational efficiency. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to implement improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Contribute to the development of new project ideas in alignment with CI's strategic vision and brainstorm fundraising opportunities related to potential partnerships-led projects, including projects that support strategic direction, partnerships, and innovation.

Collaborate with internal departments to execute grant-funded deliverables and provide strategy and policy assistance for various capital and property projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a project manager, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Preferred experience with business planning principles and practice.
