Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Manager to drive our ambitious growth objectives aimed at assisting fleets in minimizing their carbon footprint and achieving sustainability targets. This is a full-time, salaried role with a competitive compensation package, including benefits. The position will involve overseeing product assembly and managing vendor relationships, as well as the production workflow of our advanced fuel system.

The Production Manager will serve as the organization's expert on all aspects of the fuel system technology production. This encompasses a thorough understanding of raw materials, components, and assemblies, along with their sourcing and manufacturing processes. A solid grasp of electrical, mechanical, and software systems is essential.

Collaboration with engineering teams and third-party manufacturers will be a key component of this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong project management background, focusing on efficiency, inventory management, production scheduling, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production schedules, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Act as the primary hands-on assembler and manufacturer of the fuel system and its components.
  • Oversee inventory management of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Optimize the physical inventory space, ensuring cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Maintain accurate records in Manufacturing Resource Planning software for digital inventory tracking.
  • Lead procurement initiatives and foster relationships with third-party vendors, providing feedback and sourcing new suppliers.
  • Identify performance metrics and collaborate with the production director to achieve company objectives.
  • Establish and uphold a Quality Assurance Program for production processes and final products.
  • Facilitate clear communication regarding production timelines, assembly processes, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling production operations and processes.
  • Proficient in procurement management, with experience overseeing multiple vendors and contractors.
  • Familiarity with automotive components and assembly processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, machinery, and tools.
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on production activities while developing formalized processes.
  • Exceptional adaptability to shifting priorities and multitasking demands.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in reporting production metrics.
