Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with families to identify children with disabilities or developmental delays and facilitate comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for children with disabilities, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for working with children with diverse needs, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
  • Coordinate with community agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive support services are available, fostering strong partnerships and collaborations.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for educators on inclusive teaching strategies and disability awareness, promoting a culture of understanding and acceptance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning early childhood education and special education services, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field, with a strong foundation in early intervention strategies and special education laws.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities, with a proven track record of success in supporting children's developmental progress.
  • Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies, special education laws, and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people, including parents and educators.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
