Job Title: Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at Integrated Services for Behavioral Health. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to families in their homes and communities.

Job Summary:

The Family Support Specialist will work closely with families to establish trusting relationships, strengthen parent-child relationships, and improve the home environment. You will assist families in setting goals and developing plans to achieve those goals, while also assessing the normal growth and development of the target child.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain regular contact with families, primarily in their homes, to provide support and guidance.
  • Assist families in setting goals and developing plans to achieve those goals.
  • Assess the normal growth and development of the target child.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and participate in program evaluation.
  • Attend team and program planning meetings, cross-systems training, and acquire knowledge of community resources.
  • Meet billing productivity requirements established by Integrated Services for Behavioral Health.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with or providing services to children and their families.
  • Associates degree required.
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships.
  • Acceptance of individual differences.
  • Experience and willingness to work with culturally diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Open to reflective practice.
  • Infant mental health endorsement preferred.
  • Minimum three years of directly relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated high degree of cultural awareness.
  • Experience with multi-need individuals and families.
  • Broad knowledge of community service systems.
  • Licensed and able to operate a motor vehicle with appropriate level of insurance coverage.
  • Willing to participate in and lead cross-systems team building activities.
  • Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
  • Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
