KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Partner with Factory and Corporate Engineering to guarantee the maintainability of new capital projects and modified installations.

Documentation Management: Ensure that spare parts lists, equipment manuals, and schematics are provided for all new installations, adhering to established standards.

Safety Integration: Embed safety considerations into all daily tasks, solutions, designs, and projects.
Project Management: Develop bid packages for Replacement in Kind projects and oversee these projects from conception through engineering, planning, execution, and completion.
Budget Assistance: Support the Maintenance Superintendent in managing project budgets and formulating maintenance strategies.
Final Project Review: Participate in the final evaluation of capital and project installations.
Maintenance Procedure Documentation: Establish and document maintenance protocols for all new installations.
Reliability and Maintainability Focus: Lead initiatives to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
Preventive Maintenance Optimization: Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine the preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance processes to achieve optimization.

Coordination with Maintenance Teams: Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely scheduling and execution of PM/PdM services and inspections, along with prompt corrective actions.

Shutdown Coordination: Work with maintenance, production, and plant management teams during planned maintenance shutdowns to maximize maintenance work while minimizing process downtime.
Efficiency Improvement: Strive to reduce and enhance maintenance work wherever feasible, ensuring efficient and reliable factory operations while protecting the economic life of plant assets at optimal costs.
Support for Planning: Assist the Planner/Scheduler in developing technical, environmental, and safety work procedures.

Production Capacity Planning: Regularly contribute to the planning of realistic production capacity based on an analysis of preventive maintenance time requirements and failure history.

Value Analysis Application: Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
Standardized Program Development: Create a standardized program that influences the selection of materials, equipment, and spare parts.
Technology Advancement: Stay informed about and apply advancing maintenance technology as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: Completion of ACSC's Engineering Trainee program is preferred, or 5 to 7 years of experience in maintenance engineering practices.
Training and Skills: Direct training and experience in maintenance engineering practices are desirable. The candidate must possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to fostering positive change in a traditionally maintenance-focused workforce, transitioning from a reactive to a proactive maintenance philosophy.
