Position: Industrial Power Saw Operator / Material Handler
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set up and operate a variety of power saws to accurately cut materials, primarily metals, in accordance with engineering specifications and production schedules.
  2. Receive, transport, and organize parts to designated areas based on production requirements.

Core Duties:
  • Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Manage the storage and inventory of raw materials by type and size.
  • Prepare materials for cutting, ensuring measurements align with specified dimensions.
  • Utilize templates for precise contour cutting.
  • Adjust machinery settings to achieve optimal cutting efficiency and quality.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines for executing cutting operations effectively.
  • Facilitate the movement and staging of products throughout the facility as per production needs.
  • Conduct routine operator and preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in the maintenance schedule.
  • Comprehend and apply safety manuals, operational guidelines, and maintenance instructions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience operating power saws.
  • Forklift operation experience (certification preferred).
  • Knowledge of crane and rigging operations (certification preferred).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and cut orders.
  • Strong skills in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Extensive knowledge of sawing processes for raw materials.
  • Ability to execute accurate cuts consistently.
