Role Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is tasked with ensuring the optimal performance of all machinery, including blow molding equipment, conveyor systems, plant support tools, case packers, box makers, stretch wrappers, and palletizers. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety and quality protocols established by the company.
- Demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and maintenance techniques.
- Possess a strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits effectively.
- Repair electrical circuits with a comprehensive understanding of electrical schematics.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment promptly.
- Instruct fellow maintenance personnel and production operators on safe equipment operation.
- Maintain ownership of general mechanical tools.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to safety practices, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and confined space entry protocols.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in a technical or vocational field is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English is essential.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
