Job Opportunity:

Fenwick & West, a leading technology and life sciences law firm, is seeking a junior associate with expertise in employment law to join our dynamic litigation practice. Our Employment Group is renowned for its cutting-edge approach and international recognition, with offices in California, Washington D.C., New York, and Seattle.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in employment law, with a strong background in litigation and counseling. They will be responsible for advising employers on a wide range of employment law issues, including wage/hour, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments. The candidate should also have experience in preparing or reviewing employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a good command of employment law, including California state and local employment laws, and a business-minded approach to problem-solving. They should have a strong academic background, California bar membership, and experience in single-plaintiff as well as complex cases. The firm regularly advises employers and trains managers concerning personnel systems, policies, and practices.

What We Offer:

Fenwick & West provides a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including healthcare, life insurance, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, and wellbeing. The anticipated range for this position is $235,000 - $310,000, depending on the role and qualifications. A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.
