Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Monitor Specialist to join our team at El Camino Health. As a Clinical Monitor Specialist, you will be responsible for performing continuous monitoring and documenting patient ECG rhythms/arrhythmias while providing video observation and surveillance of assigned patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document patient ECG rhythms/arrhythmias in a comprehensive and organized manner
  • Provide continuous video observation and surveillance of assigned patients
  • Redirect patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and summon nursing staff when necessary
  • Assist with patient care and interventions as needed
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Successful completion of hospital-approved arrhythmia interpretation class and passing score on screening test
  • Previous monitor tech experience preferred
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Organizational, prioritizing, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to continuously monitor ECG and video monitoring on multiple screens
  • Effective verbal communication skills and proficiency in English language
Working Conditions

This position is responsible for the care of adult and geriatric patients. The salary range for this position is $42.79 USD hourly.
