Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure optimal performance of facility equipment and assist in managing spare parts inventory.
  • Conduct repairs on equipment to restore safe and proper functionality.
  • Collect data readings and maintain logs to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot operational processes and make necessary adjustments for peak performance.
  • Utilize handheld instruments such as voltage meters, gas detection meters, and pH meters.
  • Prevent production delays caused by equipment failures or unsafe conditions.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for unsafe equipment.
  • Complete work orders to execute preventive and predictive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain organized workspaces to meet housekeeping and 5-S standards.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs/projects as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Prioritize safety and comply with all environmental regulations.
  • Participate in additional projects and assignments as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
  • Act as a member of the on-site emergency response team.
  • Maintain documentation related to the performance, maintenance, and repair of processes and equipment in accordance with PSM, RMP, and Permit requirements.
Qualifications

Skills:

  • Experience in process operations with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling and associated safety practices.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, mechanical chillers, boilers, HVAC systems, pumps, gauges, and valves.
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting using hand and power tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting within facilities management.
  • Licensed operator of a wastewater treatment system.
  • Knowledge of mechanical chillers, cooling towers, emission scrubbers, boilers, industrial air compressors, and HVAC systems.
  • Associate degree or technical certification.
  • Military experience in a mechanical capacity.
