As a Facilities Technician at the Helen Ross McNabb Center, you will play a critical role in maintaining the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe and welcoming for our clients and staff. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of electrical components, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and report any issues to management.
  • Monitor and report any facility items needing attention, including ceiling tiles, lights, trip hazards, and pest issues.
  • Ensure all annual inspections for buildings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years' experience in building maintenance and/or construction may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC systems, construction materials, and general construction techniques.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license and ability to drive a center vehicle.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and climb ladders.
