Key Responsibilities- Receive and process referral calls, obtaining minimal demographic information and referring calls to the appropriate source or scheduling assessments.
- Process all intake requests for information and external referrals, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients and families.
- Complete insurance pre-certifications as needed, verifying benefits and initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.
- Assist in arranging for patient admission, including alerting the business office staff to verify benefits and initiate necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of received calls and dispositions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, practicing good standards of customer service and ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
- Must be a Licensed Master's level clinician (LCSW, LMSW, LPC or LPC-Associate) or RN.
- LMSW and LPC-Associate applicants must be in active supervision.
- Qualified candidates should have some experience in behavioral health assessment and inpatient treatment, with at least one year of previous experience on an acute behavioral health hospital preferred.
