Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
The Equipment Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and installing onsite machinery. These technicians play a vital role in the overall maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, compressors, and circuits.
Working under limited supervision, Equipment Maintenance Technicians often collaborate with the General Manager to communicate concerns and assist in budgeting for future expenses related to the course.
Compensation$25.00 / hour
Part-Time (approximately 8-15 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the functionality of machinery and mechanical systems by fulfilling preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, and tools in accordance with operational manuals and manufacturer guidelines.
2. Support clubhouse maintenance and cart mechanics with fabrications and adjustments as necessary.
3. Manage equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels, anticipating necessary items, placing and expediting orders, and confirming receipt.
4. Document mechanical maintenance activities by maintaining records of repairs and parts procurement.
5. Provide training and information on the proper use and upkeep of equipment through communication with colleagues.
6. Supervise the maintenance of the shop area by ensuring cleanliness and orderliness, and that tools are kept clean and in optimal working condition.
7. Ensure operational efficiency by gathering event information from all departments to meet specific maintenance needs and requests.
8. Address escalated maintenance challenges.
9. Train, guide, and assess the performance of other Equipment Maintenance Technicians as directed.
10. Order necessary equipment and supplies as required and approved by management.
11. Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and vendor mechanics.
12. Execute fabrications when standard problem-solving methods have not yielded results.
13. Ensure warranty claims are processed appropriately.
14. Stay informed about all safety programs.
15. Implement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as directed by management.
16. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma required (Specialty/Technical Training preferred) along with 2 years of relevant experience in reel grinding, small engine repair, welding, electrical work, carpentry, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions
Workdays and hours will vary based on scheduling and business requirements.
Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be necessary.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand for extended periods, walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push, or pull.
Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, or sharp objects.
