Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance of heavy equipment, as well as managing a team of technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs. This role will report directly to the General Manager of American Iron and Metal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure optimal equipment performance and extend equipment lifespan
  • Manage and supervise a team of technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs, and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve equipment maintenance and reduce downtime
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance processes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and management
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
