ROLE SUMMARY:
The Automation Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in the installation and upkeep of various automated machinery within our cannabis production facility.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of experience as an automation technician and two years in the installation and maintenance of automated systems.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional technical training being advantageous.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems is essential.
Experience in CAD design and CNC operations is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct repairs and maintenance on packaging machinery utilized in cannabis production, including weigh scales, labeling machines, bagging machines, and more.
Collaborate closely with fellow technicians and production personnel to ensure optimal performance of all automated systems, meeting output and uptime targets.
Assist with adjustments during changeovers as necessary.
Maintain detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities in designated logbooks and software.
Contribute to the creation of preventive maintenance schedules for all packaging equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Research and evaluate new automation technologies to enhance the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work in diverse environments, including varying temperatures, noisy settings, and confined spaces.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Warehouse setting.
