Job Summary

Fairview Park Hospital is committed to providing high-quality surgical care to our patients. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during their surgical experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in emergency procedures as well as elective and scheduled cases.
  • Work alongside surgical teams to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families.
  • Organize supplies needed for patients.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after surgery, maintaining a sterile operating room.
  • Perform count procedures to protect patients from unintended retained foreign objects.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical procedure.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Involve patients or designated support persons in decisions affecting their post-perioperative plan of care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required.
  • Minimum of one year previous experience in Perioperative Nursing preferred.

Earn a competitive salary of $93,500 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience, plus benefits package that includes comprehensive medical coverage, retirement plans, education assistance, and more.
