Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Unit team. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care. Your primary focus will be on achieving positive patient outcomes and ensuring efficient workflow within the department.
- You will manage the flow of patients through various stages, including screening, preparation for examination, general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
- You will instruct patients and families on medication use and treatment instructions.
- You will maintain and review patient records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- You will administer medications as directed by physicians.
- You will ensure that rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
- You will respond to incoming phone calls and refer callers when necessary.
Key qualifications include:
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or equivalent required within 30 days of employment start date
