Position Overview:
The Risk Analyst Lead plays a crucial role in the execution and oversight of vendor management protocols within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
This position is tasked with the verification and auditing of security measures for external vendors and internal projects.

The incumbent will conduct thorough assessments, reviews, and audits of security and privacy control reports, evaluating the overall security posture across the organization, including third-party relationships.

Additionally, the Risk Analyst Lead will perform security evaluations and testing of system controls as required.

This role involves close collaboration with various business units to monitor vendor review requests, collect pertinent data, and report on the progress of these inquiries to management.

Moreover, the individual will support the Chief Security Officer's department in enhancing employee awareness regarding security risks and strategies to safeguard critical infrastructure, data, and assets.

This position is pivotal in driving security objectives aimed at mitigating risks associated with both existing and emerging vulnerabilities across on-site, offshore, and cloud environments.


Primary Duties:
- Monitor Vendor Assessment Review Requests and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Evaluate assessment reports against asset control objectives to gauge effectiveness.
- Conduct vendor risk assessments, including supply chain evaluations, as necessary.
- Present findings on control testing through a comprehensive Controls Dashboard.
- Generate both summary and detailed reports on vendor risk across the organization.
- Offer guidance to ensure a thorough understanding of the Vendor Risk Management program requirements.
- Report on high-risk vendor contracts and procurement challenges, highlighting risks and proposed actions to address inadequate controls to senior management.
- Lead vendor risk assessments, formulate mitigation strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to assign monitoring responsibilities.
- Work alongside Business Units and internal support functions to ensure compliance with risk assessment and mitigation protocols.
- Engage in data analytics and reporting activities, maintaining vendor risk reporting mechanisms and tracking outcomes from vendor management efforts.
- Continuously analyze and refine procedures to enhance vendor risk management processes.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the vendor risk management sector.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years in internal or external auditing, security testing, or risk management and analysis; with at least 3 years in IT security or IT risk management.

- Familiarity with widely accepted audit and risk frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST) and relevant regulations impacting the utility sector.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Vendor Risk Management tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are advantageous.
